Hi there, this is a great concept but I feel it is important to point out that a few of the cafes you have mentioned are not selling ‘certified’ Fairtrade coffee. For example Ramsey House (photo above), Huckleberry and the Ballroom (listed above) all serve Revive Espresso – which although is marketed as a ‘Fairtrade’ coffee is not in fact certified. There are several other such brands such as Ripe and Emporio who have ‘Fairtrade’ blends but which do not carry the FLO’s (Fairtrade Labelling Organisation) certification. It is important that there be a distinction between those coffee companies who go to the trouble and expense of producing a certified traceable coffee to those who merely claim to.
Good job on the website, I look forward to seeing it develop and to Wellington being the first ‘Fairtrade City’ in NZ.
